Cereal and oilseed rape harvest: final estimates - 2025

Final estimates of area, yield and production for winter and spring barley, wheat, oats and oilseed rape, for the 2025 harvest.

Harvest results by crop

Barley accounts for around 66% of total cereals produced in Scotland in 2025. Most barley in Scotland is spring barley. Wheat is the second most widespread crop, making up around 28% of total cereal production in 2025. Oats contribute around 6% of total cereals produced.
