2. Quality Performance Indicator Development Process
The QPI development process was designed to ensure that indicators are developed in an open, transparent and timely way. The development process can be found in appendix 1.
The Breast Cancer QPI Development Group was convened in December 2010, chaired by
Dr Jennifer Armstrong (Senior Medical Officer, Scottish Government). Membership of this group included clinical representatives drawn from the three regional cancer networks, Healthcare Improvement Scotland (formerly NHS Quality Improvement Scotland), Information Services Division ( ISD) and patient/carer representatives.
