NHS Grampian Assurance Board

Overview

Following the escalation of NHS Grampian to stage 4 on the NHS Scotland Support and Intervention Framework on 12 May 2025 for finance, leadership and governance, the Scottish Government will establish an Assurance Board that will report to the Director General of Health and Social Care, and Chief Executive of NHS Scotland.

This board, which will be chaired by Stephen Gallagher, Director of Mental Health, will be tasked with providing oversight of NHS Grampian’s progress against the specific actions in their Improvement Plan.
