An errata was published on 17 November 2022 as a result of changes to Table 2 and Table 4 of the publication. The accompanying report has not been affected. The original Table 2 showed that the proportion of cleared properties (out of estimated number of properties needing to be checked) for Scotland total was 40%. The figure should have been 45%. The accompanying report has not been affected.

The original Table 4 showed that the estimated number of Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme Individual Sponsor properties to check for Scotland total was 1,885. The figure should have been 1,900. This has also been corrected in the accompanying report key points and main text.

The original Table 4 showed that the proportion of cleared properties for Scotland total was 70%. The figure should have been 75%. The accompanying report has not been affected.

This was a technical error and the change does not affect any other analysis in the tables.

Background

This is the first publication summarising the latest Scotland-level data and information on people displaced by the war in Ukraine coming to Scotland through the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme visa schemes. This report pulls together various data sources, including operational data from welcome accommodations and Local Authorities across Scotland, the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) and the Scottish Government (SG). This data includes the number of displaced people from Ukraine that are in temporary accommodation, the progress on clearing properties offered up by the Scottish public for hosting and longer term accommodation, and, where applicable, the progress on matching displaced people from Ukraine with a host and cleared property. This data will compliment and be published alongside information on the numbers of applications, visas and arrivals of displaced people from Ukraine to Scotland and the other three UK nations, as is already regularly published by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC).

This report accompanies the experimental statistics tables on the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme in Scotland.
