How the data was collected

The data for this report have been collected via a questionnaire sent out to all authorised active shellfish businesses (Supplementary Questionnaire Documentation).

Quality Assurance

Reported data are verified against a series of checks. Where necessary, the data are referred back to the person completing the questionnaire for clarification. The information published, however, is the summation of the reported data. Return rates of survey forms is usually 100%.
