Annex A plain text

Figure 2 shows a simple intervention logic chart for knowledge transfer. First, eligible organisations identify a skills gap in the agricultural sector. Next a gap in existing provision is plugged, and a novel way of meeting a skills need is provided. The Scottish Government provides funding for groups to design and deliver knowledge exchange workshops, training, coaching etc. event. Finally, initiatives improve skills and transfer knowledge in the agricultural sector.

Figure 3 shows a simple intervention logic chart for innovation. First, the Scottish Government meets running costs of operational groups looking to implement innovative projects. Operational groups then form partnerships between e.g. farmers, crofters, land managers, NGOs, advisers, researchers, and businesses. Next groups generate new insights and innovative ideas, or mobilise existing knowledge into practical solutions. Finally, initiatives deliver on-the-ground improvement in agricultural competitiveness, resource efficiency, environmental performance, and sustainability.
