Scottish Greenhouse Gas Statistics 2024

Official statistics showing emissions of greenhouse gases in Scotland over the period 1990 to 2024.


The Scottish Government’s previous Climate Change Plan was published in February 2018 presenting a strategy to reduce emissions over the period to 2032.  The modelling activity supporting this plan used a modified version of the sectoral categories used in the Scottish Greenhouse Gas Emissions publication.  The following table presents the latest Scottish emissions data using these alternative categories.
