Scottish Education Exchange Programme: Test and Learn project
Information on the Scottish Education Exchange Programme Test and Learn project, including eligibility and how to apply.
Who can apply
Scottish colleges, universities and CLD providers are invited to apply to the Test and Learn project for short-term grants for a minimum of £1,000 and maximum of £25,000. Applicants can apply for an additional £10,000 for international projects which include collaborations with Scottish partners from other sectors of education, for example, schools, or universities collaborating with colleges (or vice versa).
There is no limit on the number of applications an institution or CLD provider can submit, but the maximum amount of funding allocated to each applicant will be £25,000 (or up to £35,000 with cross sector involvement).
Projects must be completed within the 2025-26 financial year, with any unspent funding returned to the Scottish Government.
While organisations and individual participants outside Scotland cannot apply directly to the Test and Learn project, Scottish applicants have the option to request up to 30% of their grant be used to support match-funded inward mobility of international participants to Scotland.
Grant funding can be used to support participation in or development of existing international partnerships or networks and alliances.
