How to apply
Before applying, read this guide and the separate operational guidance.
Complete the attached application form and email it to: RestitutionFund@gov.scot.
Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications may cause delays or be rejected.
Applications close at 5pm on 11 September 2026.
After you apply
We will assess your application based on the available funding, number of applications received, geographical coverage and support type. You may be contacted for additional information.
You will receive a decision within 12 weeks of the closing date.
If your application is successful, you will receive an offer letter with full terms and conditions. The money is paid in arrears, though advance payments may be available in exceptional circumstances.
When claiming, provide evidence of eligible spending and confirm continued eligibility. Funding must be spent within one year of the offer, and/or repayment may be required if conditions are not met.
