Recommendations/ preferred options

Based on the information provided in this partial Business Regulatory Impact Assessment (BRIA) consideration will be given as to whether a BRIA is required.

Implementation considerations/ plan

The responses to the consultation will inform the considerations as to whether to remain with the current legislative provisions or to make changes in line with the consultation proposal.

Post implementation review

A post implementation review will be undertaken each time the noise maps and the associated noise action plans are produced. The 2006 Regulations ensure that noise mapping and the associated noise action plans are produced on a defined frequency, the publication of the noise action plans allows for consideration as to the effectiveness of the regime and gives an opportunity to consider if any adjustments would be required.
