Procurement People of Tomorrow: Procurement Schools Pack

A pack designed for secondary school students to inform them of the procurement professions and the opportunities they bring.

A career in procurement. Where do I begin?

There are a number of ways you can begin your Procurement Journey. Whether you want to study or learn on the job there are many routes available.

Modern Apprenticeship: College: Undergraduate Degree: Graduate Apprenticeship: Post Graduate Degree

As well as these apprenticeship and academic routes there are a number of organisations that will offer work placements and internships, including work-based learning qualifications in the context of procurement in Scotland. The best way to get into these is to look up the company you are interested in and approach them directly.

The Scotland Excel Academy will be launching work-based-learning qualifications tailored to Scottish public-sector procurement. These will be aligned to the Scottish national procurement development framework.

An agreement in principle has been reached with Glasgow Caledonian University recognising the prior learning from the Academy facilitating direct entry to year 3 of the Graduate Apprenticeship programme.

Both the work-based-learning qualifications and the Graduate Apprenticeship have minimal entry barriers.
