National Care Service - governance and representation: co-design report - easy read
This easy read report sets out findings we have gathered through research and co-design that relate to governance and representation.
Co-design Sessions
We ran our co-design sessions with a group of 12 people.
We met with the same group of people so we could:
- spend more time helping people take part
- allow people to get to know each other. This made them feel more comfortable talking about ideas
- allow people time to understand the topics better. This helped improve the discussions.
There were 7 sessions. Each session was 3 hours long.
Each session focused on a topic. Topics included:
- how people would join the board and work together
- who should be on the board
- recruitment of board members
- what knowledge and skills should the Chair have.
- how to include lived experience
- integration authority representation
- board member training needs.
Integration authorities are organisations that plan local social care, social work and community health services.
