GDP Monthly Estimate: February 2025
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure changes in the output of the economy. This is an Official Statistics in Development publication for Scotland.

Scotland’s onshore GDP is estimated to have fallen by 0.2% in February. This follows revised growth of 0.4% in January (revised up from 0.3%).
In the three months to February, GDP is estimated to have grown by 0.7% compared to the previous three month period. This indicates an increase in growth on the Quarter 4 2024 (October to December) growth rate of 0.1%.
GDP is estimated to have fallen by 0.2% in February, the largest positive contribution was in Electricity & Gas Supply, which contributed around 0.3 percentage points. The largest negative contribution was Information & Communication Services, which contributed -0.2 percentage points.
