Marine Fund Scotland 2025-2026: general guidance notes version 1 - May 2025
Information about the types of marine and fisheries grants you can apply for, types of projects that can be funded, how much money you can apply for and how to apply
Timescales
The Marine Fund Scotland 2025-26 is for projects starting and delivering in the 2025-26 financial year. At the time of publishing these General Guidance notes (April 2025), funding is only available for expenditure up to 31 March 2026. This means any purchases or work carried out on your project must have been completed and fully paid for by 31 March 2026.
The Marine Fund Scotland 2025-26 aims to provide application decisions within 12 weeks of the closing date. The closing date will be noted on the MFS website (www.gov.scot/policies/marine-and-fisheries-grants) and can be confirmed by contacting MFS@gov.scot. This 12 week turnaround only applies in situations where the application is submitted with all required information. If we need to ask for further information, this could delay the time it takes to announce decisions.
