Information about the types of marine and fisheries grants you can apply for, types of projects that can be funded, how much money you can apply for and how to apply.
The European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) is fully committed at present and is closed for further applications.
In respect of the replacement of the EMFF, £14 million has been allocated to support the Scottish marine sectors and environment in 2021-22 and discussions are ongoing on the scope and detail of funding for a new scheme. Additionally it is only 1 years funding and any support to projects through this mechanism will only be available up to the end of March 2022. All projects must therefore plan to develop, deliver and fully claim within this timescale.
However further key details, such as any subsidy regime to replace the EU State aid rules are not yet clear and we do not expect to open to applications until early next year. We will however publish updates on this page. Future funding will align with the Scottish Governments Blue Economy Action Plan.
