Marine boarding: maps
Maps showing where boardings of fishing vessels have been undertaken by Marine Protection Vessels (MPVs) Minna, Jura and Hirta.
These maps show the sea areas by ICES squares, where the Marine Protection Vessels (MPVs), Hirta, Jura and Minna have undertaken boardings of fishing vessels during each six-month period.
Operational activities such as inspections at sea are prioritised by the implementation of a risk-based approach and are often influenced by the seasonal nature of fisheries.
The maps show purple coloured squares in the Scottish sea area where at least one vessel was boarded. There are often multiple boardings in each highlighted square.
