ONS consultation on release times for market sensitive economic statistics
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is reviewing the release times for its market sensitive economic statistics, to consider whether the current arrangements continue to best serve the public good, support user needs and align with the principles of trustworthiness, quality and value set out in the Code of Practice for Statistics.
ONS have launched a consultation to gather evidence on the impact of different release times, and are seeking views from a wide range of users and stakeholders. The consultation asks how you use market-sensitive economic statistics, your views on potential release time options, and any other considerations the ONS should take into account when making a recommendation.
To complete the consultation, or to find out more information, please visit their consultation and participation platform. Please note that this consultation will be closing on Friday 30 October 2026.
