- A9 Dualling: Pitlochry to Killiecrankie - The procurement process formally commenced in July for the fifth section of the A9 Dualling programme with the publication of the contract notice. When completed, this will develop and upgrade active travel routes in the area, making them safer and more enjoyable for the local community and tourists.
- Markle Level Crossing Bridge Replacement - The crossing near East Linton was officially replaced by a new bridge and diversionary road, which opened to traffic in July. Project addressed safety concerns, particularly with advent of new East Linton station and new infrastructure, which also includes an improved access road for Markle Fisheries, which significantly enhances road safety by removing the level crossing and eliminating delays caused by passing trains.
- Borders Railway Decarbonisation and Fife Decarbonisation - As first reported within March 2023 update, both projects were to be replanned. The FBC’s to progress both projects have now been approved and these will be used as the baseline for these projects going forward.
- RBGE - Edinburgh Biomes - The ambitious restoration of the Victorian Palm Houses which completed in September, will protect global plant science and conservation, ensuring the future of these A-listed historic structures and the precious plants that they house.
