Guaranteed Interview Schemes
The Scottish Government operates two Guaranteed Interview Schemes: the Disability Confident Scheme and one for Veterans of HM Armed Forces.
These schemes are designed to support fairer access to employment by offering a guaranteed interview to applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
Applicants who apply under one of these schemes are assessed against this minimum threshold, which is lower than the standard benchmark used for other candidates. This does not mean that all applicants who wish to be considered under either scheme are automatically eligible for an interview.
