Why has the Scottish Government not published any update to these figures since May 2024? When is an update expected to be published?

Response
The answer to your question is that as a statistics in development publication, there is not a routine schedule for the production and release of these figures. Statistics planning for economy statistics depends on available resources and user needs, and gives priority to the production of accredited official statistics. It was not possible to produce an update to these statistics during 2025, following the release of annual supply and use tables for 1998-2021.
An updated extra-regio satellite account release, with provisional estimates up to 2024, is planned for 25 February 2026 and has been pre-announced at the official statistics: forthcoming publications web page. This follows the release of the annual Supply and Use Tables for 1998-2022 on 10 December 2025, and will be consistent with the Quarterly National Accounts for 2025 Quarter 3 due to be sign up for the ScotStat register.
