Payment and administration
Payment to grant recipients
Local councils will be responsible for the administration of flood recovery grants when the Framework is activated and a request for support has been agreed by us.
Payment to local councils
Funding will be provided to eligible local councils through a redetermination of the General Revenue Grant or other mechanism as agreed.
An initial payment will be made based on the estimates provided by the local council with the remaining funding allocated following a full and final reconciliation of the actual costs incurred, including the administration costs, by the agreed deadline.
Reporting requirements
Local councils will provide regular updates to us on the number of claims and the final number of claims should be provided by a mutually agreed date.
