16. The Regulations were laid before the Scottish Parliament on 11 November 2021, and came into force on 1 June 2022.

17. The over 6 month-period between laying and coming into force is intended to allow businesses time to prepare for the new restrictions. This period will allow businesses, including wholesalers and other suppliers of these products, to use up their existing stocks.
