Entrepreneurial Education Fund 2025-2026: form and guidance
Information about applying for funding to deliver entrepreneurial education to young people in Scotland. This fund is open from 22 July to 27 August 2025.
Why we have this fund
This fund closes to applications at 10am on 27 August 2025.
The Scottish Government recognise the importance of the introduction of innovative and independent thinking at the earliest stage of a child’s development. It is crucial that children and young people develop meta-skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability. These are woven throughout the Curriculum for Excellence and positively impact children and young people’s continued development.
For example, exposure to entrepreneurial knowledge and skills is important to foster entrepreneurial intentions and behaviours among students. Engagement with successful entrepreneurs as role models can help students envision the possibilities of entrepreneurial careers and motivate them to consider career pathway options. Having access to entrepreneurial networks can foster a positive environment for idea generation and general guidance and support.
We aim to build a sustainable entrepreneurial education system. This fund will be used to enhance the focus on key stages of a young person’s development, ensuring a solid foundation at each educational stage.
We launched the first openly competitive Entrepreneurial Education Fund in August 2024.
In 2025/2026 we are seeking applications for projects which will continue to embed entrepreneurial behaviours, thinking and competences into learning from early years to secondary and tertiary vocational education and training.
We recognise that entrepreneurial skills prepare pupils for their careers and improve their overall employability whether that be through setting up their own traditional business, a social enterprise, co-operative or as intrapreneurs within other companies.
