Renewable Electricity Generation

 

In the first three quarters of 2025, 27.0 TWh of electricity was generated from renewable sources.

In the third quarter of 2025, 8.1 TWh of renewable electricity was generated in Scotland. This is the most renewable electricity generated in the third quarter of any year in Scotland and is a 3.8% increase from the previous high of 7.8 TWh generated in the third quarter in 2024 (Figure 7).
