A sub group of the Race Equality and Anti-Racism in Education Programme: Stakeholder Network Group.
Overview
The Education Leadership and Professional Learning sub group is one of four workstreams established by the Learning Directorate working towards race equality and anti-racism in the education system as part of the wider Race Equality and Anti-Racism in Education Programme.
The other three workstreams are:
- curriculum reform
- racism and racist incidents
- diversity in the teaching profession and education workforce
Vision
The sub group has a vision that Scotland’s educators and leaders are confident, committed and empowered to promote equality, foster good relations and identify, prevent and deal with racism. As a result of understanding race in a school context, and by deploying skilled and passionate leadership. they can empower and support an anti-racist culture across school communities.
