This publication provides information on Discretionary Housing Payments (DHPs) in Scotland over the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

The expenditure statistics in this publication are for the amounts spent or committed to be spent on DHP awards for the financial year 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. Committed spend occurs, for example, if a local authority decides to award funds for the whole of 2024-25, but this may be paid out in instalments throughout the year rather than in one lump sum.
Chart 1 and Table 3 show the value of DHPs in Scotland during the financial year 2024-25, with a comparison of the spend profile for 2023-24. Spending during 2024-25 has been above that for the previous year every month, and followed a broadly similar profile.
