In April 2025, the real living wage rate was £13.85 for employees in London and £12.60 for employees who did not work in London.
Proportion of Employees (18+) earning less than the Real Living Wage, Scotland
In 2025, the proportion of employees aged 18+ in Scotland earning less than the Real Living Wage (£12.60) was 11.3%. This was a slight decrease from 11.5% in 2024.
In 2025, the proportion of women (employees aged 18+) in Scotland earning less than the real living wage was estimated at 12.0%, compared with 10.5% for men.
