Energy: Social Tariff Working Group
Overview
This group was established in November 2024 following the energy consumers roundtable in September 2024. The group brings together stakeholders to co-design a deliverable social tariff which protects consumers against high costs and ensures households can afford all of their energy needs.
Powers to introduce a social tariff are reserved to the UK Government. The findings of the group will be shared with the UK Government by spring 2025.
