Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) - model template and guidance

If you wish to become a SCIO you should contact the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) OSCR.

Guidance and a model template designed to meet the requirements of the Community Right to Buy legislation for BenCom's will be available in due course. Until this template and guidance is available you may wish to view the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) website for guidance FCA.

Please note that other CLBG, SCIO and BenCom templates are available. You should ensure that your governing documents meet your requirements and you may wish to seek your own legal advice.

Please note that you cannot submit an application until Scottish Ministers have given written confirmation that your governing documents meet the requirements of the legislation and your governing documents have been registered with the appropriate authority.

Within your governing documents you will have to define your community.  You may wish to view our mapping tool which may be of assistance.
