Veterans' health and wellbeing: are we getting it right?

Scottish Veterans Commissioner outlines impressions on the extent to which current services meet veterans' health needs.

4 A poll carried out by Lord Ashcroft in 2016 found that 9 out 10 members of the UK public expressed a view that "some kind of physical, emotional or mental health problem" must be common amongst veterans as a result of their time in the military. This was in direct contrast with serving personnel who felt that ill health was overestimated by the public. See
