This briefing presents our understanding of youth perceptions of and attitudes towards vaping based on a review of the existing literature.
Background
Over the past few years, vaping prevalence among the youngest age groups has shown an upward trend[1]. This has raised concerns around the potential of vaping to renormalise tobacco smoking and serve as a gateway to it. Understanding youth perceptions and attitudes is key in minimising this risk.
