Good Food Nation Plan development – understanding local authority and health board processes: report
This report shares findings from a Scottish Graduate School of Social Science Internship research project on the development of Good Food Nation Plans across Scottish local authorities and NHS health boards.
4. Conclusion
The evidence indicates that most authorities are at an early stage of preparation and are taking pragmatic approaches built around existing strategies and partnership infrastructure. Plan development is expected to be cross-cutting and time-intensive, shaped by governance lead times, consultation requirements, and the need to coordinate across overlapping geographies. Capacity constraints and access to usable data are central factors influencing pace and scope.
