Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme in Scotland: statistics - October 2023
Latest data and information on the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme in Scotland.
Welcome accommodation
There was a peak of welcome accommodation use in November 2022, with around 3,780 welcome accommodation rooms and cabins occupied. The estimated number of displaced people from Ukraine in welcome accommodation, as well as the number of welcome accommodation rooms occupied, continued on an overall decreasing trend, with a slight uptick in the latest week. This may be an early sign of levelling off or a fluctuation; however it is too soon to draw any conclusions. For time series prior to 17 July 2023 please refer to previous publications.
As reported by welcome accommodation teams across Scotland on 26 September, there were around 1,595 welcome accommodation rooms occupied by displaced people from Ukraine in welcome accommodation in Scotland. This compares to around 1,805 welcome accommodation rooms occupied as reported on 17 July 2023 (figure 1).
