Do you have any comments on the draft SSI?

Summary/Themes

16. Eight respondents answered this question, though none offered any additional comments to those discussed above. Some respondents made general reference to overall EIA goals, existing requirements, or around a specific type of development and the impact on the environment. One respondent commented 'EIA is a rigorous process that involves much time and resource from numerous stakeholders, therefore a decision to retrospectively grant planning permission must not be taken lightly.'

17. One respondent queried whether deemed planning permission under Section 57 of the Act would also be within scope and whether the Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 should also be amended.
