5. Conclusion

This consultation aims to gather input on two policy areas relating to household recycling and waste management in Scotland. Alongside feedback from the Circular Economy & Waste Route Map consultation and the co-design process for the new household recycling Code of Practice, these insights will help shape our policy on how to achieve these goals most effectively.

Ensuring high-quality recycling is a shared responsibility, and it is crucial that we take every reasonable step to make it as easy as possible for households to participate and make the right choices.

In responding to this consultation, please do not feel constrained by the questions set. We appreciate some people will have a particular interest in certain areas. We would encourage you to respond to any or all of those areas where you feel you have a contribution to make.
