The high-profile nature of the industrial interventions and the accompanying sensitivities surrounding them has meant SCAD has managed a large volume of FOISA cases since its inception in 2022. In 2024 SCAD achieved 100% compliance in responding to Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) requests within the required time scales.

The Office of the Scottish Information Commissioner (OSIC) has engaged with SCAD in relation to a number of FOISA Appeals.
