Overview
The Scottish Pubs Code requires pub owning businesses (landlords) with tied tenants to provide pre-lease information, including repair history and projected cost. Tenants now have the right to request a market rent only lease.
Pub-owning businesses must submit a self-disclosure form if a breach is identified.
The Scottish Pubs Code Adjudicator may set a levy with approval from Scottish Ministers. Consent was granted for the 2025 to 2026 levy, and this statement outlined the confirmed arrangements.
