Scottish National Standardised Assessments: P1 survey responses
Responses from local authorities, headteachers and teachers to the independent review of national standarised assessments in schools.
An independent review of Primary 1 school assessment was carried out by David Reedy.
These responses informed recommendations on the following areas:
- the suitability of SNSA for use in P1
- the relationship of P1 SNSA to the benchmarks for early level
- the effect of taking an online assessment on P1 children
- the usefulness of the diagnostic information and how it supports teachers’ professional judgements
- the usefulness of P1 SNSA for school improvement purposes
