This report presents statistics for the No One Left Behind strategic approach to employability delivery in Scotland. Statistics are presented to the most recent quarter of January to March 2026.
- There can be a delay between participant’s starting to receive No One Left Behind support and this being reported to the Scottish Government while the process of verifying eligibility takes place. This means participants starting in earlier quarters may not be reported until future publications. Therefore, data for the most recent quarters is provisional.
- A total of 111,300 people started receiving support from April 2019 to March 2026. The number receiving support has increased each year from 2,655 in 2019/20 to 24,253 in 2025/26.
- In the most recent quarter, quarter 4 of year 7, 6,022 people started to receive support through No One Left Behind. This was a 19% increase on the previous quarter and a 5% decrease on the same quarter in the previous year.
- In the most recent quarter, 49% of participants reported at least one long-term health condition. Additional funding was provided in 2025/26 to ensure Specialist Employability Support (SES) was available across Scotland. At least 1,254 participants have received SES between April 2025 - March 2026.
- There has been at least 86,700 positive outcomes achieved between April 2019 to March 2026, including 35,437 people (32%) entering employment and 15,341 (14%) entering further or higher education or training.
- Data on the complete breakdown of employment follow-up outcomes is reported in this publication for the first time. Of the 52 week follow-up checks due between October 2025 and March 2026, 44% had not yet been carried out. This suggests that the employment sustainment percentages reported in this publication may be underestimated.
