Scotland’s Cladding Remediation Programme monthly management information: January 2026
This report presents management information for Scotland’s Cladding Remediation Programme to provide an indication of progress on a monthly basis.

Key points
Scottish Government funded assessment and remediation:
- As at 31 January 2026, 920 expressions of interest had been identified as likely to be eligible for Scottish Government funding for a Single Building Assessment (SBA) and 821 had been identified as ineligible for funding.
- As at 31 January 2026, the Cladding Remediation Programme had been informed that 16 Scottish Government funded SBAs had been completed, which had not changed from the previous month.
- The majority of these completed SBAs related to buildings in Glasgow City and City of Edinburgh local authority areas.
- As at 31 January 2026, the Cladding Remediation Programme had been informed that Scottish Government funded SBAs had been started for a further 62 buildings. The majority (76%) of these buildings were in Glasgow City.
- As at 31 January 2026, the Cladding Remediation Programme was aware that remediation work was underway in three buildings.
Developer funded assessment and remediation:
- As at 31 January 2026, one developer had signed the Developer Remediation Contract, which covered five additional buildings. An SBA had been completed for one of these buildings which is in Glasgow City, and works had started.
Financial information:
- The Cladding Remediation Programme’s expenditure from financial year 2021/22 to 31 January 2026 was £16.5 million.
- As part of the Spring Budget Revision, a further £15.4 million was transferred to Local Authorities in relation to applications made via the Single Open Call to support delivery of the Cladding Remediation Programme.
