Estimates of Scotland's greenhouse gas emissions on a consumption basis for the period 1998 to 2021.

CO2 is the main greenhouse gas in Scotland’s carbon footprint. It accounted for 74.6 per cent of Scotland’s total carbon footprint in 2021, up from 72.9 per cent in 1998. Between 2020 and 2021, Scotland’s carbon dioxide footprint from all sources increased by 14.7 per cent.
