This consultation will run for 12 weeks, closing at 23:55 on 3 December 2026.

At the end of the consultation period, we will summarise the responses and place the summary on the Scottish Government’s website.

All comments made in response to this public consultation will be considered by the Scottish Pubs Code Adjudicator sponsorship team in the Scottish Government’s Food and Drink Division and will inform the statutory review report prepared by Scottish Ministers.

We may contact you if, for example, we have a query in respect of your response.

The Act requires Scottish Ministers to publish the review as soon as practicable after the review period and to lay it in the Scottish Parliament. The review report will include Ministers’ response to the replies to this consultation and any other relevant evidence. A single report covering the statutory review requirements will be published on the Scottish Government’s website at www.gov.scot and will be laid in the Scottish Parliament.
