3. Consultation

SDS will capture data on addresses of each applicant to the fund and will monitor and report on data in aggregate to enable comparative analysis of island community locations of either applicants, or those in receipt of funding. Dependant on findings during delivery in 2026-27, a recommendation could be made to offer priority online spaces to island communities.

The fund will be available to all areas of Scotland therefore consultation with island local authorities (LA) is not required.
