New Year's Day trading for large retailers: consultation analysis

Report on the public and stakeholder consultation results from the consultation on New Year's Day trading.


1. A shop which has a relevant floor area exceeding 280 square metres. The relevant floor area is the area of a shop used for making retail sales or for the display of goods in connection with those sales.

2. This report sets out the high-level results. A detailed analysis of all Citizen Space responses will be published once that analysis has concluded.
