About Access to care and eligibility criteria
Our co-design work for the National Care Service has focused on different themes. “Access to care and eligibility criteria” is one of these themes. The theme covers:
- how people access social care services
- the eligibility criteria used by local councils to decide if people should receive a service
- if eligible, what services they receive
In our work we have been looking at how we can improve the ways people access care. This includes major changes to the current eligibility criteria. This will make sure as many people as possible receive the right care.
