Data capture and analysis

As part of quarterly reporting of official statistics on the Affordable Housing Supply Programme, properties which are purchased ‘off the shelf’ are recorded. We are also able to monitor separately the number of new build ‘off the shelf’ opportunities which are supported. Reporting on the National Acquisition Programme, as part of the wider Affordable Housing Supply Programme, will also be included in our annual out-turn report publication.  

The remit of the Temporary Accommodation Task and Finish Group was to reduce the number of people living in temporary accommodation and the length of time they stay there. The data published in our bi-annual Homelessness in Scotland statistics will allow the Scottish Government to monitor progress made towards this objective.
