GDP Monthly Estimate: October 2025

In the three months to October, compared to the three months to July:
- Scotland’s real onshore Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by an estimated 0.2% This follows a growth of 0.2% in the 3 three months to September 2025 and a revised growth of 0.5% in the three months to August 2025 (revised down from 0.6%).
- Production sector output is estimated to have remained flat, with 0.0% growth, while the services sector is estimated to have grown by 0.3%. Construction sector output contracted by 0.3%.
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services made the largest positive contribution to overall GDP growth, contributing around 0.1 percentage points. Information & Communications made the largest negative contribution contributing around -0.1 percentage points.
Monthly GDP is estimated to have contracted by 0.2% in October 2025, after growth of 0.7% in September. This follows contraction of 0.2% in August.
