GDP Monthly Estimate: July 2025
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure changes in the output of the economy. This is an Official Statistics in Development publication for Scotland.
The industry with the largest negative contribution to the overall contraction of 0.3% in July was Electricity & Gas Supply, which contributed -0.2 percentage points.
In July, Construction sector output grew by 0.2%. Output in the services sector is estimated to have grown by 0.1%, while Production sector output contracted by 2.3% in July.
