Health and social care - infection prevention and control strategy: vision and priority statements

This strategy sets out a ten-year vision and priority statements which aim to minimise preventable infection across health and social care in Scotland, supporting safer care, stronger systems and a person-led, rights-based approach to infection prevention and control.

Acknowledgements

We would like to thank the Infection Prevention and Control Strategic Development and Oversight Group members and their wider networks, whose contribution, collaboration and constructive challenge have played a crucial role in shaping the direction and ambition of this work. We recognise that members have offered this support in addition to their already demanding workloads, and we are sincerely grateful for the time and expertise they have given. Their engagement has strengthened the strategy and ensured it reflects the breadth of perspectives across health and social care.

We would like to give particular thanks to the Chair, Professor Jacqui Reilly, and Deputy Chair, Professor Donald Macaskill, whose leadership and dedication have been invaluable.
