Items and actions

The Chair opened the second meeting of the working group and invited a member from the International Trade and Investment Directorate to give an overview of the  Scottish Government’s presentation on the gender export gap at the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Informal working group on Trade and Gender on 3 July 2025.

The Chair invited the founder and CEO of PG Paper, to share her views and experiences on exporting with the group.

The group discussed an action plan to take forward over the coming months. The Chair also requested that members submit information on the  gender data they currently collect to allow an assessment of where gaps in this data might present opportunities for further gender data collection.

The Chair noted that next meeting of the Gender Export Gap Working Group is due to take place in December and will focus on entrepreneurship.
